My son watches mostly gaming videos on Youtube but also lots of documentaries and news. All of this protected through a standard under 18 family account that is pretty good at filtering out inappropriate stuff and gives him an ad free experience.

Swiss not as stupid as their British Counterparts
We had a simple policy at home, no Tik Tok or Facebook until our son is 16. Youtube and gaming services are allowed as long as they have the option to create an under 18 account that is supervised by parents. Works perfectly and filters out most harmful stuff. All gone now for a stupid complete ban.
I have seen lots of posts recently on Reddit by Teenagers in politics forums arguing that Reform is protecting their Freedom of Speech as they are against a strict social media ban. That's how kids are driven to the fascist right.
