Not really true in my experience, many organizers are elders who have done this work since their 20s.
The idea that young working class people have more reach in politics is also laughable if you look at who lobbies, who gets elected, who votes, etc
Just admit your faves have room for improvement

You are correct about out-organized. The organizing by the DSA is what is is bc the people who join are mostly young single people with marginal work and time on their hands. The DSA doesn't represent more than a slice of portland and its councilors represent the DSA, not their district.
