This is actually what so many big corp defense lawyers think of plaintiff's attorneys. It's why anyone who's serious about judicial reform will say the traditional pathways produce a lot of bad judges. This is why it's important to get public defenders, legal aid & plaintiff's attorneys on the bench

Not the main point, but this is a real window into the elite law bias against contingency fees, which is the only way most non-rich people can get lawyers in civil matters. Particularly galling from Ruemmler, who decided the best thing to do after serving in the White House was to sell out
