While I agree with David overall, as a lawyer who's read a lot about COINTELPRO, I specifically advise you to draft every single message in every possible medium, whether you think it's secure or not, as if the dumbest and nastiest federal prosecutor is reading it aloud before a judge who hates you.

1/ A lot of replies to this 🧵 questioning if we’re dopes about operational security. No one who’s been involved awhile thinks we’ve got anything approaching total op-sec; smarties assume 0. BUT op-sec is like constitutional rights: even if they’re being compromised, use it or you’re conceding it.
