Have just returned from the Tangihanga for Ta Hirini Moko Mead. For over 20 yrs he generously gave of his time.We spent many hours talking about weaving, art, teaching. I will miss his wisdom & unwavering interest in mine and Sams life of Māori Art & care of us & of our whanau. Kia au to moe Matua😢💜

So, to see him reading these comments was heartbreaking. I actually yelled at him (and I never yell) to ignore the comments and shut his phone off.
He chose to shut the World 'off' and he went to bed at 5.30pm.

I'm glad Sam and I don't mix with these sorts of people.
