Just had a messed up encounter with my very elderly roommate. She is apparently not diagnosed with dementia but she's struggling with reality today at least in some ways and has been incredibly agressive and rude with the staff. Calling them names and insulting them and ordering them out and

The nurse and said what she wanted in a way she didn't like so she started insulting me and calling me stupid and yelling at me. I firmly told her she was not allowed to speak to me like that that I was not her servant and I was trying to help her and she started to argue more and I told her that

Just being pretty awful. I have tried to help as I can talking to sooth her down calling for the nurses and trying to negotiate when they are not getting anywhere but a little bit gone was angry about the tv being on something she didn't want to watch and was yelling about it so I called for

She has been very rude and mean today to not only me but the staff and we were all just trying to help her and she needed to try to remember that.
I didn't yell or curse but I also took no push back and she got flustered and talked to herself for a while and fell asleep again
