sometimes it isn't a metaphor. sometimes it's just phor.

okay but the term "fruit" has a common meaning that predates the technical one by centuries and has been the most common meaning the entire time.
you don't get to redefine a word into technical jargon and then lecture others that they're wrong to use it.
you cannot have a decent experience of art if your primary focus is on whether it was "made for" you rather than what it means to you
you will not get cooties from a "boy book" or a "girl book." even if you are a woman or a man respectively.
