there is no rule that says that trans people have to start early or look a certain way to be happy. but it's stupid and unnecessary and hateful that for kids who could access this care that would make things easier for them aren't getting to. and the ONLY reason for it is hatred and bigotry
always I am reluctant to push too hard on gender-affirmative care for kiddos as the ONLY way to be trans or be happy--a lot of people even who were kids when it was accepted practice a few years ago couldn't afford it or didn't have accepting guardians etc. and people often transition later, too

The middle is abortion safe, free, & available to those who want one. All other arguments for some kind of restriction are garbage. They’re either based on philosophy rather than reality or on denying bodily autonomy. Men keep insisting they have authority about a procedure that doesn’t affect them.
I am not Catholic [or Protestant], although my Irish ancestors on one side of my mother's family were Catholic.
But my sympathies, such as they are, are never going to be with English colonialism.
They're also never going to be with assholes who enact pogroms on marginalized populations.
