Un très bon texte de Jonathan Livernois, qui réexamine « Raisons communes » de Fernand Dumont et rétablit la complexité de la pensée du sociologue, trop souvent simplifiée par certains nationalistes conservateurs.
I encourage Mullin to go to Shankill Road in Belfast and tell the Loyalists that have been attacking immigrants that they are Irish (and not British) and that he understands why they want Ireland back. I'm sure he will be well received.
And Kilmeade, obviously. For those who don't know much about Northern Ireland, the attacks on migrants were organized by loyalist (protestant) groups. They consider themselves British (not Irish) and are absolutly opposed to the unification of Northern Ireland with the Republic of Ireland.
A glowing review by the New York Times of an outstanding Quebec book now available in English. I can’t recommend the book enough.
