Behind every inspired student is a dedicated educator. Contract academic staff teach up to 50% of undergrad courses in some faculties, shaping the future despite uncertain working conditions. Let’s value their contributions. #ANSUTstandswithCAS @dalfaculty.bsky.social @cupe3912.bsky.social
Don't forget this event on Monday! Can't wait to see folks there :)
On August 20, the Dalhousie University administration locked out its nearly 1,000 faculty, librarians, counsellors and instructors.

Shout out to Mat Whynott of the Canadian Labour Congress for his ongoing support of our Truro picketers. Mat comes with subs, a smile, and his CLC flag to boost our picketers and to #KeepDalStrong @cautdefencefund.bsky.social
AUFA members were out to support @dalfaculty.bsky.social on Friday at their morning picket and noon rally. AUFA stands strongly behind the principles of fair collective bargaining and call on the Dalhousie administration to end their lockout and return to the table meaningfully!
Nova Scotia has proposed legislation increasing political interference in universities.
Political interference in education isn’t just an American phenomenon. It’s alive and well in Canada too.
Politicians should not dictate the priorities of universities.
