The City Rail Link is going to be one of the most transformative projects Auckland has seen in generations. It was great to tour the new Te Horitiu Station with Phil Goff and others yesterday. 1/3
On the tour we were told that over 18,000 workers have contributed to the project and put in over 25 million hours to deliver the CRL. The result will be a more connected transport system that gets more people where they need to go, faster. 2/3
June 21 is International Yoga Day and I joined hundreds of people at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre for a great introductory session to this ancient practice that is good for body, mind, and soul.
A good bike ride in and out to get the heart pumping too, although got totally soaked on the way back!
If you come across a political candidate at your doorstep/shopping centre over the coming week who looks like he has just been in a bar room punch up then rest assured it’s just because he was crossing the road to the bus stop, got distracted by an unusual tortoise shell cat crossing the road…1/2
…tripped over the kerb, and face planted on the footpath. No major damage done, but the candidate photo shoot next week may get a bit delayed. 2/2
