Are you interested in muscle research? 💪 🏋 We are excited to invite you to our Muscle Mini-Symposium: “Exploring skeletal muscle communication: From tissues down to molecules” 🗣️ Speakers: Fanny Sage, Ana Banito, Xuejun Yuan, Joerg Heineke
Single-color 3D MINFLUX of periodic paralemmin-1 along the axon of a mature neuron. YFP-Palm1 was detected with a nanobody against YFP with DNA-PAINT. Image courtesy: @vmacarron.bsky.social, MPI MR, Heidelberg, Germany More in the paper www.science.org/doi/full/10.... #fluorescencefriday
Many Thanks and Kudos to all authors, colleagues and collaborators from Heidelberg and Göttingen. Looking forward to what comes next!
How does it work? The expression level of Paralemmin-1 controls the degree of periodicity of the MPS. ⬇️Low levels: poorly organized MPS ⬆️High levels: tightly organized MPS Paralemmin-1 binds ßII-spectrin and is located in close proximity to actin and adducin #STED #MINFLUX #Y2H
