tbqh her taste in songs has 100% been deserving of criticism, she really only started singing *good* songs that weren't pure shlock after her husband died. (one of my favorite Celine stories is that she hated My Heart Will Go On as much as everybody else lol)
oh, as someone who's had major problems with alcoholism & drug abuse in the past, I'm def speaking from firsthand experience. I know *exactly* what the conditions are for a major lifestyle relapse, and he's neck deep in all of them. no support network + HUGE pressure = he's almost certainly drinking
I wasn't really into her as an artist until my ex took me to go see her live in Atlantic City in 2007 during her Taking Chances tour, and we sat close enough on the east side of the arena to like literally hear her breathe. I have NEVER heard a singer that preternaturally talented before or since.

my personal theory about why he keeps holding these briefings at such an absurdly early hour (by DC standards, that is) is that he's drinking again, and this is the only time of day when he's not under the influence. when an alcoholic never shows up in public after lunchtime, you already know why.
as soon as Trump starts to figure out that this isn't going to be yet another screw-up that he can just shake off (I give it another couple weeks before it starts to dawn on him because he's slow af about this stuff), he's going to be braying for blood, and Hegseth will be the guy.
ngl, I have always personally assessed that the most surprising part about his appointment was that he was so well-known for being an incredibly sloppy drunk, and Trump is himself well-known for hating drunks. there's no way he isn't drinking again, the stress is simply too much for him.
