Per @bluestein.bsky.social , midday turnout is topping 200,000. Roughly 140,000 of those ballots were Republican.
Those numbers are being closely watched by the campaigns. Burt Jones' gubernatorial campaign, for example, is banking on high Election Day turnout

Voters head to the polls Tuesday to decide marquee Republican runoffs for the GOP's gubernatorial and Senate nominations.
There's rain in the forecast today, which could dampen turnout. But as my colleague Shannon McCaffrey noted, a recent study found that the rise of mail-in, advance in-person and other alternative methods of voting have helped offset weather-related dips in recent presidential elections
