Yeah, “shattered its 20-year turnout”numbers does not indicate a suppression of votes (and only those that would have voted no) due to parking.
You can bet we have individuals of the same mindset in Swampscott. They just haven’t formed an official group yet.
Printing the name of the individual is potentially harmful if they are later exonerated of the charges. This could have been a great PSA article about the dangers of leaving a small child or pet in the car when temps are high and note an arrest was recently made, but that wasn’t this.
I find it cruel that these people that continuously fight against both new taxes and new growth have the gall to pretend they want to help those struggling with affordability and blame it on “reckless spending”. The math doesn’t math when you look at the numbers.
