Just started the Gothic Tales of Catherine Crowe for the commute. Enjoying her writing style so far
When I was very young, I wrote a letter (remember those?) to Michael Benton (a foremost British palaeontologist) because I loved his books on dinosaurs which I read daily
I may still have the letter he wrote back somewhere. Very cool
Now I just tag authors to say I loved their books

The number of people I’ve nearly broken my 30 year customer service rule for not being rude to… has not been zero
I’m also halfway through Perdido Street Station, which is finally starting to get interesting

We are all so knackered…
Not since our old bookshop took £70,000 in a single day have I seen such madness as in my shop right now
