It's June 21st and it's National Indigenous Peoples Day. I'm proudly Plains Cree and originally from the Little Black Bear band. I'm in dire need of help with rent, and bills currently as a struggling queer artist. If you could help me reach my goal today it would help me rest easy today. Thank you.
Jax is a cautionary tale on the what can happen if you refuse to help yourself or let anyone help you. Goose's trans art for jax symbolises to me that you can be accepted and happy, but only if you allow yourself to be.
TLDR: Queer characters are allowed to be messy and flawed and have trauma.
Abstraction isnβt necessarily a 1:1 allegory for death by suicide so much as itβs like losing oneself in any kind of mental health spiral, including addiction. How everyone visits Jax and the other abstractions also reminds me of visiting a loved one in long-term care or inpatient treatment.
Hi, I'm a first nations non-binary queer artist down on their luck. If you can help me with my ko-fi goal you'll help me with rent, bills, and food for this month and that really would mean a lot. Please help if you can and thank you for spreading the word!
