I’ve decided I might not need to cut it anyway. Will sand it down tomorrow and see what it looks like under the paint.

The current Ebola case fatality risk isn’t 20%, despite many reporting this value (i.e. 136 deaths / 676 cases)... A decade ago, we highlighted how deaths are lagged outcome, so calculation that simply divides deaths to date by cases to date in ongoing Ebola outbreak will underestimate severity:
