I'm working on a ~150-page adaptation of a single chapter of Moby-Dick. I got the idea last year as a submission for a comics mini-grant. Other worthies got the grant, but the idea gnawed at me, so I scripted and thumbnailed the thing and am 91 pages into a full-sized rough draft, sketches w color.
