My son moved to the UK from Montreal in February, hoping for cooler summer weather (amongst other things). Here it has been much cooler than normal throughout May and June. Nothing makes sense any more.
French-language media is alleging that the suspect in the Montreal attack travelled from Alberta and published a multi-page Incel manifesto. I haven’t found anything similar in the English media so far.

This is only a couple of blocks from my son’s apartment and he’s working from home today. He’s fine, but says it’s really crazy, helicopters everywhere. Like something out of a movie, but it’s real life. 😬
