I've never been good at drawing but I'm not about to let that stop me from scheming my next minis.
The good thing is most early medieval helmets aren't too complicated.

My bad I misremembered, it wasn't subsidence, it was partial collapse by merit of its drystone construction.
Fighting Fantasist
I would have taken a picture of the replica of the Pictish stone but the sun obscured most of the details.
Being out in the middle of nowhere has given me the time to paint exactly one (1) base layer.
Someone stop me this is too much productivity for one person.

Final big stop in Orkney is the Broch of Gurness, incredibly scenic, the Orcadian Picts(?) certainly knew where to build a tower, even if said tower did have a subsidence problem.

The Brough of Birsay, there's definitely more stuff on the Norse than the Picts here but I must say it's a lovely place for a village if you don't mind cliffs.

Time line cleanser:
The battle for the dog basket.
1st war: Moortje conquers basket.
2nd war: Puppy Beike annexes corner.
3rd war: Moortje retreats, sends in commando kitten Roetje.
Roetje destroys basket.
Everyone loses.
What a metaphor for all of history.
