Perhaps my favourite penny of Edward III was found this on day, 6 years ago. Third (Florin) coinage, type 2 dating to AD 1344-1351 Mint if London.

Just out of curiosity, I'm trying a different location. Slow going, but I'm not sure I expected much more. These 3 found on a small out crop of London clay.

Medieval silver farthings. These coins are tiny, no wonder they were readily lost. But still a significant lose. With this you could have bought 1/2lb of cheese, or even 1/2 dozen eggs.

And found the very next day, 13th June 2020 A medieval silver Halfgroat (two pence) of Edward III, pre Treaty Series C, AD 1351-1352, mint of London. Partial double strike on reverse.
