I think the whole country is starving for love and joy. My own small town of less than 30k had more than 5k show up for pride. That’s a quarter of the whole town in a red state! America wants joy. We want acceptance. We want love. We need freedom. We are literally dying for it.

I’m not crying, it’s just my stupid neighbor barbecuing and the smoke is really in my eyes.

Pride month felt more important this year than in my whole life.
