Sound. Film. Sound for film. Music production. TV production. Huskies. Mostly house-building and gardening now. It’s a long story. Mainly here for the dogs and the movies.

A wee group of angry balaclava and mask-wearing anti-immigration guys tried to stop the good people of Glasgow showing solidarity with migrants and standing up to racism and fascism. Well, the far right are far outnumbered...

This is how you put them back in their box. Just show up. They want you to be scared of them, so they can march about and be all racist, unchallenged. Its much more difficult for them when they’re outnumbered 20-to-1 😀.
To tighten up his connector I need a 7mm and a 10mm spanner. I appear to have 6mm, 8mm, 9mm and 11mm spanner’s. Standard.
I will say tho, I’m getting unexpectedly ok at soldering enamelled headphone cable.
Really proud of this last one 🙂. (It’s just me isn’t it?…)
Been at it for four hours today, and I’ve made four fairly basic things. If you double how long you think it’ll take to build something, double it again and you might be in the actual ball-park.
Working on a super-secret TV shoot this week. So of course, I’m building cables. You’d imagine after 🤬 years I’d already have every audio-related cable ever thought of in a box somewhere, but no, I always need some weird new thing.
Did you see the sign today about hobbies?
Ok, so ONE TIME today I forgot to put the heatshrink on before soldering the plug. Apparently this time, I’ve put TWO pieces of heatshrink on the cable. Vastly preferable, but still mildly incompetent.
This. I’ve never quite bought the “Carol is the worst person” narrative. The whole of civilisation has been stolen, and instead of taking the easy way out, she’s trying to fight back, any way she can. Go Carol I say.
