Having watched through some of the early serieses (serii?) recently, they don't even always keep a consistent fur color across the entirety of a single frame.
People who don't do this for a living are always like "Just ignore it!" but every part of the system is designed to make it as hard as possible to ignore. For me, I've drawn a really hard line about never looking at comments, but the emails still get to me. Really sorry that's happening to you too.
