...something to do with the Governor calling all of the Board members and the President over the weekend to pressure them to make a deal. Weird how right after last night's Board meeting, we got much better offers. Ridiculous it had to take this long.

I remember, even as a librarian, interviewing for a job where the university librarian said, "if people want to have families, they shouldn't go into tenure track positions." And I stupidly decided to work there!!! It was predictably a nightmare job.

Our bargaining team is completely stunned by the lack of urgency of the PCC management team. We just learned they will not send us a response to our proposal until after the board meets at 5pm. The board has not met in over a week. Spring term hangs in the balance. WTF is going on.
