Right now there are laws in Western Australia that grant sex workers less rights than people working in other occupations.
QLD, NT, NSW and Vic have all amended their laws to remove this discrepancy.
Time for WA to do the same!

Connection can include all kinds of relationships. Intimate relationships are often about touch, and as long as it's legal and consensual, you can dream of and seek out whatever kinds of connection and intimacy is your jam.
Choice and control aren't just buzzwords or jargon, they are words to live by, for people with disability.
Historically their choices have been made for them, and it's essential that disabled people make informed decisions holistically, without shying away from the ones that make people blush.
It is not unusual for SWers to be treated badly by the law.
But is it really necessary? When most other states and territories have reformed their approach, surely WA can do so too.
The forced cavity inspections, police powers to compel sex workers to hand over information...
..... all unecessary, and creates barriers to human rights.

Of course, police having these sort of powers never results in them being used inappropriately or irresponsibly, as the NSW Police so clearly demonstrate. 😛
