Sylvia Rivera, a latina trans woman who was part of the Stonewall riot and co-founded STAR with Marsha Johnson within a year of it, was literally booed offstage during a Pride rally in '73 (only four years after Stonewall) for demanding the movement protect trans folks and incarcerated queers.
