My feed reader now includes a single line summary based on those items in my "inbox" (according to my own custom algo).
> AI's encroaching chaos versus essential web crafts and cautious optimism
Not sure that strap line is ever going to change 😂
Reading around Atmosphere, and tried mu.social. Which I don't understand (is it just an alternative client?), anyway, it pulled in all my atmosphere data (mentions, profile, etc), then promptly asked me to age verify. Which…I've done once on bsky already.
Why can't *that* be federated?!
A what point does a bookmark become a full blown blog post? Or does this still count as a blog post 🤷
Anyway, excellent post by @sachajudd.com (which I'm adding my own thoughts to): remysharp.com/links/2026-0...
Sunday blog post, or publish on Monday?
Stumbled on a web site (a conference) and it was really "let's fade and animate everything in", so I turned on `prefers-
reduced-motion: reduce` and you know what happened?
Dick all.
Animations remained strong 🍳🤦
As in: I just put a `&emdash` because it looked better than a hyphen, which is what I always break up my sentences with.
I swear, intentionally putting an emdash in copy (for me), feels like footgun and people are going to be: AI WROTE IT!
22 years ago, this was waiting ahead of me.
Headline: New guidance on screen use for children aged 5–16
Literally the first lines: Parents will soon get clear, practical guidance
Me: so…um…so it's *so* new it's not even available. Good job on the click bait GOV.UK…

My main worry is that we’re banning social media for kids but not AI. So you can’t speak to real people online anymore, kids, but you sure can talk to your fake artificial friend who weirdly loves to talk about taking your own life!
