The existence of genAI is discouraging, but I’m not afraid it will ever stop people from creating. We’ll always have that spark inside that makes us want to do something ourselves and spend time on that - a lot of time thinking, loving, learning. 4/
Maybe it was “I am here, I exist!”. And also "pigs are beautiful!".
What about us now?
Everyone has their own reasons and ways to create, and their own relationship with the process, but in the end creativity is just a part of being human. Maybe, the part that made us human. 3/
It's my balloon day and I wish to make the humble request of artwork sharing 🙏
I feel extremely blessed to have made so many trips around the sun whilst painting pictures for my living. What a life, always profoundly grateful that it is mine ❤️✨
Saw too many upsetting posts about AI today. I think I need to say something with words. A little thread.
I painted this piece “The Spark” back when genAI just started to become a thing - I wanted to explore the question “Why do we create?” 1/

Why did the person (or people) who painted the wild pigs in a cave could do it? They didn’t need it for survival, and they probably did it for no profit. Would they want a pretty image on the wall in a second if they had means or was it important to pick up paints and do it with their own hands?

It's my birthday! 🤗 As per tradition, I'm humbly asking for some reposts of this or any other of my art today ❤️
