I have a 5.25” floppy box with a hinge broken for decades. I fixed it with CAD and #3Dprinting in about 45 minutes.

The irony of this almost certainly needing a CPU to negotiate higher voltage/current from the phone battery, which may have just finished charging from a cigarette lighter port in a car where an all-mechanical lighter used to live.

Hoooboy, LLMs do not seem to make good troubleshooting assistants. Not sure why my coworker seems bent on using one, but it's wasting a ton of everyone's time.
I'm dumb about a lot of things, but I'll cop to being a really good troubleshooter, and things that can't reason also can't troubleshoot.
I'm so glad I live in Minnesota.
