I need y'all to understand that it comes across as disrespectful to trans women AND trans men because you just assume "they're the same thing."
As someone who ran away from an abusive home at 17 & ended up in another abusive living situation - not knowing where your next meal is coming from, if it’ll be enough, or if you’ll even be safe when eating, is absolutely crushing and terrifying.
Being kind to those who struggle costs you nothing.
Every so often, on other socials, I need to clean the comments section for this.
Because privileged people assume that “starvation doesn’t happen anymore” or “it’s a skill issue you can’t afford food.”
It’s crushing to see people assume that it’s a struggling person’s fault that they are starving.
