You will recall, less than a year ago, British police were instructed to disclose the ethnicity of suspects of crime as an explicit sop to the far-right after their last attempt to gin up pogroms. Our then-Home Secretary, now Foreign Secretary, lauded the move. Do we think this helped.
This is not an accident or a failure. It is an editorial decision made at an extremely senior level of BBC News as part of its ongoing campaign to launder these viewpoints into the mainstream and, the hope is, influence voting patterns. The robbiegibbification of the BBC continues unopposed.

as ever the message is racism is fine, but leave it to us lads. it's the form, not the content. the british state, as ever, attempting to capture racist sentiment rather than oppose it - something that is functionally impossible, so the cycle continues and accelerates. labour are utterly craven.

Politicians around the world have been eagerly complicit in genocide (and in suppressing protest against it), in enacting and inciting violence against marginalised communities, in pushing policy further and further to the right.
Why are you making excuses for them instead of pushing back?
The frameworks of civility, of electability - these are keeping people trapped in a cycle of defending politicians who are actively causing harm, under the guise of some nonsensical promise of change that has no evidence of ever coming.
