Kosher baking can be perfectly fine but not for a seven-layer cake, or at least not like this
I bet I could do better with margarine, but I usually use cream too and not sure what to sub there

The seven-layer cake is like an Entenmann's donut, with the same dry cake and solid chocolate coating
An odd choice. The server had told me to try the babka but I was determined to try the cake for research (mine is better!)
He has offered to swap my half-eaten cake slice for chocolate babka
For comparison, the seven-layer cake *I* make is a rich buttery eggy yellow cake with layers of chocolate buttercream, enrobed in a chocolate fudge glaze
You *have* to use the word "enrobed" to describe it, it's that extra and that luxurious
