This is against the backdrop of constant fear of further attacks, fear of being taken advantage of, constantly searching for affordable food/meds/necessities, trying to work, and caring for family, all with a horribly uncertain future.
We can't imagine it. The least we can do is try to help.
If you're wondering why you might be seeing an uptick in mutual aid requests for Palestinians: there was an attack yesterday in the south. They were given an hour to evacuate, so there were few casualties but many people lost everything.
Think about this in the context of what they've been going through: many are sick and injured and have been unable to heal due to poor nutrition, poor sleep, and lack of medical care. An illness that might take you or I a week to get over takes them a month.
They themselves were able to get out but they didn't have enough time to grab anything. They are having trouble connecting now so our communication is poor and I am so worried about them.
URGENT: I got an update from the Farwanas, the area where their tent was was attacked. I say "was", because their tent is gone, along with all belongings. They currently have nothing but the clothes on their backs.
Please, PLEASE donate if you can. If you've been waiting for a sign, this is it.
