Living in Missouri is strange politically. We have a completely republican run state govt. and Trump won here all three times. But when we have progressive ballot issues they always pass. So much so that the state govt. is trying to make it nearly impossible to pass citizen led ballot initiatives
I think it points to how much partisan politics are treated like a team sport in the U.S. When there’s a ballot issue that benefits everyday people without an R or a D next to it, it passes. This is something that gives me a sliver of hope
