A very thoughtful piece from Allan.
There's a battle to be had on so many fronts, but it's critical that we fight using facts and are careful with those facts.
How much does #Brexit cost Britain in under 30 seconds:
On that note
I want to bring the focus
away from ->
"how much merit/use does a person bring to the nation(alism) i support"
-> towards
"Would I be in their position, what needs would I have as a human?"
And if those needs are not met;
Why is that so and what needs to be done to change that?
Excellent reflection on how to advocate, rally, engage online - is it okay to shorten, tilt, sensationalise messages to make our case? Is the fact that 'the other side' uses these tactics sufficient excuse? Are our objectives so pure, a little lying doesn't hurt? Nope. We don't lower our standards.
