Lauren Edwards MP is urging the House of Lords to finish its job on the assisted dying bill. She emphasised that the "anti-democratic" way the bill was blocked by the Upper House motivated her to return it, so that "people can continue to have faith in our democratic system".

We have a Bill! The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill will have its Second Reading on Friday 11th September. Thank you @laurenedwardsmp.bsky.social for having the courage to pick this Bill up!

Good piece from @laurenedwardsmp.bsky.social on why we must return the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill to Parliament.

Dignity in Dying
Today, Lauren Edwards MP confirmed the new co-sponsors of the assisted dying bill. The cross-party group of MPs behind this reform shows the exceptional range of knowledge held by key supporters of the bill, with expertise spanning medicine, law, and disabled people’s and women’s safety. I support most of what @ashleydaltonmp.bsky.social stands for, but not her opposition to the Assisted Dying Bill. My wife lives with metastatic breast cancer. We have deep connections in the MBC community in the UK. The majority support AD because they want control at the end of their lives
This can be used even in jurisdictions where assisted dying is legal. The fight continues everywhere against misinformation
For Noah
The anger and responsibility being placed on Lauren Edwards and the House of Commons to amend the Bill are misplaced The responsibility is squarely on the Lords to do their job properly this time, scrutinize and amend but not obstruct. Then put it to a vote

For families facing impossible choices and those who want their final wishes respected, we cannot allow the question of assisted dying to remain unresolved.
