When finance becomes first, foremost, and always, you lose the thread of what you're trying to do.
Profit is important. But when it's the be all and end all, then the thing you are providing for sale becomes less important. The buyers become rubes to rip off.

I work in the magazine media business and as I was reading this, I kept thinking about some of my former clients who were purchased multiple times by PE and LBO's. How the new owners were great at finances, knew nothing about publishing.
And of course, how they crashed the business.

I wonder what their policy will be about AI magazines. Oh wait…I bet 50% of all bookazines have some AI in it.
You can't help wonder if network TV is creatively dead w/endless cop shows. These endless rounds of 8 episode shows on streamers actually makes watching TV no fun.
If they don't screw up this reboot of a fantastic '70's show...I could get behind. Also @ninametz.bsky.social nails it again this week.

We had a pretty nice dump of #springsnow here on the Front Range and even early this morning, the Flatirons had some snow on the peaks. By this weekend, it will all be gone.
