It's Pride Month and we continue to encourage people from all backgrounds to get involved in #OurFutureHealth. It's important for all communities to be represented in health research and we’re proud that our cohort represents the LGBTQ+ community across the UK.
With 2.7 million people signed up to #OurFutureHealth, we would need over 33,000 double decker buses to fit all of you! Thank you to everyone who has taken part so far to help researchers find new ways to prevent, detect and treat diseases.
6.3% of our volunteers have told us they are LGBTQ+, compared to 3.2% of the UK population who identified as LGBTQ+ in the 2021 census.
Our latest data release enables researchers to study new genetic ancestry data from over 750,000 volunteers, more than any other research programme. Read about the new data and how #OurFutureHealth can help your research into disease prevention, detection and treatment. 🧪
