That said, The Owl House is great and I recommend it to everyone who needs a relatable protagonist, found family, somehow having a great mom, and a lot of queer joy. Fanfiction can barely add anything queerer to it, and that is not an exaggeration.
I mostly write fanfiction these days because my brain has been incredibly broken these last few years and I stopped being able to write. Someday I would like to rewrite my commercial works and republish them as an omnibus, but that involves having functional executive faculties.
