That new Mortal Kombat film has a very odd tone. Its like watching a Saturday morning cartoon but people are getting sawed in half and everyone's swearing all the time.
Moviedrome massively shaped my weird taste in films, one of my all time favourite TV shows.

Backrooms is really good, a meditation on memory and self, while maintaining the unsettling nature of the webseries. Didn't go overboard, didn't get trashy, maintained a good tone.
It's insane that straight up Lynchian surrealism is making a shedload of money at the box office!
