Backrooms is really good, a meditation on memory and self, while maintaining the unsettling nature of the webseries. Didn't go overboard, didn't get trashy, maintained a good tone.

That new Mortal Kombat film has a very odd tone. Its like watching a Saturday morning cartoon but people are getting sawed in half and everyone's swearing all the time.
I wonder if this is how it felt in the 1930s. A hysterical environment where emotional responses override factual information, driven by economic deprivation.
