I know I haven’t been around Bluesky much the past two months, but that’s because I’ve been writing a new novel that ties together America’s Gilded Age, British Imperialism, and Meiji Japan. The first draft is complete. Even if no one ever reads it, it exists and it is mine.
Only early millennial, lonely history nerd boys (and maybe more than a few lonely history nerd girls) knew that moment in 1997 when we first saw this on the big screen and said “one day, that will be my wife.” And then she was…she really was @lariahod.bsky.social
