Oil just dropped 11% on news the Strait of Hormuz is “open.”
But “open” doesn’t mean normal.
Right now, 800+ tankers are stuck in the Gulf. The strait is effectively a 3-lane highway merging into 1. ~400 loaded ships trying to exit. ~100 empty ships willing to enter.
