New Jersey Dems seem to be giving up on the idea of passing an amendment that would allow them to redraw the state's congressional map. Why? Getting to an 11D-1R map "would likely require uncomfortable votes and maybe court fights."
Rick Jackson*, not Jones!
First batch of results from Georgia special election, for a state Senate seat: Democrat Adrienne White is up 53.2/46.7 (est. 42% of vote). In May primary, the GOP candidate did 7% better on Election Day than early vote, so this is certainly a dangerous first result for Dems. (1/2)
Results are trickling in here in Georgia, where I'm at Rick Jackson's campaign watch party. He's building an early lead over Burt Jones thanks to strong returns in metro Atlanta, but he's more vulnerable in rural Georgia. Here's a look at the May returns.

Very rough results so far in the #GAGov GOP runoff for Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, who had endorsements from both Donald Trump and term-limited Gov. Brian Kemp. But Rick Jones carpetbombed the airwaves and sold himself as an outsider.

The first polls of the night just started closing, so we've got two guides for you while we wait for results. First up is our primary preview, which covers 16 different races in four states plus DC!
We've also condensed all the races we're watching into a single cheat-sheet, which we'll update as contests get called: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...
