As I pulled up to the stop sign to cross the small 2 lane highway this morning, 2 kids were also trying to cross. They were ignored, even by a highway patrolman. I rolled down my window, told them to cross, & pulled into the middle of the road to stop traffic for them.
People used to be kinder.
Since Trump's election, I've noticed people in my 83% MAGA voting town, have changed.
The kindness and acceptance that used to be there is gone.
People don't wave at passing cars anymore.
No stopping to let people cross the road, even in a crosswalk.
No friendly chatting at the store.
It's bleak.
