my conclusion from this is Becerra is arguing that sports league rules supersede the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment
We should really think about who benefits from manufacturing outrage over a state flag.
BREAKING NEWS: The @startribune.com conducts a "Minnesota Poll" by calling random numbers in rural areas to deliberately stoke the flag controversy, then posts the resulting rage bait to Twitter - but curiously doesn't post anything about it here on BlueSky.
I moved to MN during the input stage. Anyone who says they didn’t know about it is living under a rock or revising history to justify an opinion. I was gobsmacked by how much it was covered and discussed. My first impressions of the state was “man, these people take their flags seriously”
using “water is life” to justify off leash dogs on sacred native land is so backwards, people have to learn their history instead of just using movement phrases for other circumstances www.culturalsurvival.org/publications...

The culture wars are exceptionally dumb. We know this already. That they have made this into a cultural flashpoint is just further evidence of the shift from substative civics to reactionary politics. This is a symptom of society in decline.
remember when jody wynen ran for the district 4 minneapolis park board seat for 5 minutes last year? these signs are an unhinged appropriation of native culture by dog owners “water is life” came from water protectors at standing rock!
