Go Team USA! 🇺🇸
I want to thank the U.S. Soccer Federation and Soccer Forward Foundation for investing in our young people and helping ensure the FIFA World Cup leaves a lasting legacy in communities across Los Angeles.
100 local youth and families are going to the World Cup Opening Match for free as part of a new partnership between the U.S. Soccer Federation and the City of Los Angeles that will expand access to soccer in our parks and schools.
If you’d like to join the excitement, visit kickit.lacity.gov to find a free watch party near you. And while you’re there, be sure to support the local businesses, restaurants, and vendors helping make these community celebrations so special. Go Team USA!

What an incredible way to kick off the first World Cup match in Los Angeles with a win for Team USA. 🇺🇸⚽ It was amazing to see the energy across our city as Angelenos came together to watch, celebrate, and cheer on the U.S. Men’s National Team.
For the first time in 32 years, the U.S. Men's National Team will play a World Cup match on home soil, and Angelenos can cheer them on for free at Kick It In the Park watch parties across the city.
