Local councils in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are changing❗️
Our area is undergoing Local Government Reorganisation (LGR), the Government’s national programme to simplify how councils are structured in England.
We look forward to kicking off Music in the Parks for 2026 this Sunday at Romsey Rec with the incredible Waterbeach Brass with free live music from 3pm to 5pm!
It's forecast to be a lovely sunny day so ensure you plan, dress sensibly and bring sun protection to look after yourselves.
The Government is expected to announce which new councils will be created in July 2026. Whatever the decision, existing councils are working together to make sure the transition is as smooth as possible and ensure your services continue as normal without disruption 🤝
We'll keep you updated! 🔜

June is Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month.
We’re proud to be flying the Romani flag at the Guildhall throughout June in recognition of this important month.
It means from April 2028, the seven current county, district, city and unitary councils in our area will be replaced by a smaller number of new ‘unitary councils’ responsible for providing all the council services you access 👥
Limited seating will be available however we encourage you to bring a picnic blanket or a chair!
